As demand grows for oral solid dose (OSD) products, Bora Pharmaceuticals has worked to deliver on our promise of unparalleled reliability through strategic expansion of our OSD development and manufacturing capabilities. Our OSD support<\/a> encompasses the full spectrum of pharmaceutical client needs, from specialized formulation development expertise to packaging and serialization services. We continue to invest in expanding our capabilities and capacity to reliably serve the evolving needs of our clients across the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Bora\u2019s Maple Grove, MN<\/a> site is representative of our ongoing investment in expanding our U.S. manufacturing footprint with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Since acquiring the site in 2024, our multi-phase plan<\/a> to build out over 100,000 square feet of space to streamline high-volume production began by kicking off installation of a Gerteis Macro-Pactor\u00ae roller compactor in late 2025.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

This plan builds upon the facility\u2019s existing on-site quality control and R&D labs to support customers from product and analytical development through high-volume production in our 50,000-square foot Plant C packaging area.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Charting a new path in Phase 1<\/h3>

\u00a0<\/p>

With an anticipated completion date of August 2026, Phase 1 consists of construction of primary and secondary packaging areas, as well as a clean corridor with material and personnel airlocks. Construction has begun to expand packaging capabilities into this unfinished portion of the Maple Grove facility, providing material and personnel airlocks to flow south and around into segregated primary and secondary packaging areas.\u00a0 Resumption of cGMP packaging capabilities in 2026 includes bottling and cartoning lines, the first two of many lines planned for the future facility.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

This automated bottling line accommodates 40 bottles per minute, with the capacity to handle 330 million tablets per year through bottling, labeling, cartoning, serialization, and aggregation into cases and pallets.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

More capacity, faster timelines in Phase 2<\/h3>

\u00a0<\/p>

Construction will continue in 2027 to further expand packaging capabilities into an unfinished portion of Plant B, providing additional primary and secondary rooms similar in design to existing bottling areas.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Continuation of the clean corridors will wrap around the core packaging area, enabling seamless flow of manufactured product to packaging lines.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Expansion of cGMP packaging in 2028 will include a high-speed bottling line capable of more than 200 bottles per minute, handling roughly 1.6 billion tablets per year.\u00a0 This line will be fully automated through case packing and palletization, including serialization and aggregation<\/a>.<\/p>

Phase 3 and beyond: Accommodating diverse product needs<\/h3>

\u00a0<\/p>

Our ultimate vision for Bora\u2019s Maple Grove expansion consists of up to nine packaging lines, along with packaging equipment washing and storage areas.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In order to best serve our customers\u2019 needs, we anticipate being able to support the filling of tablets, capsules, liquids, and powders into bottle, unit dose\/blister pack, and sachet\/stick packaging formats. This expanded variety of formats enables Bora to accommodate more diverse oral drug products formulated and packaged with patient convenience and safety<\/a> in mind.<\/p>

Enhancing our production volumes as well as our technical capabilities through this infrastructure expansion positions Bora as a stronger partner for pharmaceutical companies seeking support for OSD development and manufacturing at any stage and volume.
