In these unique times, the call for education and dialogue within the Pharma Community and its contract manufacturing partners has never been more apparent or necessary. Pharma\u2019s vital role can hardly be understated during the COVID-19 pandemic and the role that their contract manufacturing partners play in providing much needed drugs.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time we expand our dialog and education<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pharma\u2019s relationship with its contract partners is growing more complex, day by day. There was a time when the relationship between contract manufacturers and Pharma was a simple contractual matter; not much beyond determining price, scope, and terms.<\/p>\n

But now in 2020, with 26% of the world\u2019s drugs being manufactured by contract manufacturers, the nature of the relationship is fast becoming more integrated and strategic than ever.<\/p>\n

Strategic outsourcing of contract manufacturing depends on a successful peer-to-peer relationship between partners that few commercial relationships can match. Product quality and cost-efficient development depend on it. Bora\u2019s success as a drug developer, contract manufacturer and packager is predicated on it, and we\u2019d like to share ideas on how to make these relationships even more successful.<\/p>\n

To spark the conversation, we are excited to introduce our new blog series BoraSphere<\/em> – a place where drug developers can come for the education and ideas to successfully execute today\u2019s most ambitious drug development and commercialization.<\/p>\n

Each month we\u2019ll publish a new blog offering a fresh point of view on development and manufacturing trends challenging the industry. We\u2019ll also offer insights into how our customers are leveraging Bora\u2019s capabilities and global operations to advance their drug programs.<\/p>\n

Upcoming topics will cover tech transfer best practices, quality systems, top considerations for selecting cGMP facilities, flexible scaling, faster commercialization routes, optimized dose form processing techniques and more.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll also offer insight and tips from Bora\u2019s team on what is working best to increase manufacturing quality and achieve better development outcomes across the board, from the lab, through the factory, to the patient.<\/p>\n
